About MeHello! My name is Kassidy Ludeman and I am beyond excited to be an arts bridge scholar specializing in drama this year!
I caught the theatre bug when I was 11 years old and to this day I still can't get enough. I grew up in a very small town in Southern Utah called Enterprise, and I love being able to claim that as my roots. However, there weren't a lot of opportunities for me to learn, train, and participate in theatre there, so I was constantly traveling to the nearest city, St. George, to do so. In my junior year of high school, I had this idea to share my passion for theatre with children in my community. I wanted to give others the same exposure and opportunities to theatre that I had, within the boundaries of our small town. So, I started my own performing company and taught weekly lessons to about 20-25 kids. This is where I discovered a deep love and passion for teaching. Now, I am currently studying Theatre Arts Education at BYU, and I get to combine my two passions- teaching and theatre. I will be graduating this year and hope to start my career as an elementary school drama specialist, hence why I am here as an arts scholar this year! I am incredibly passionate about giving children opportunities to explore and engage with the arts at a young age and I hope to provide those opportunities as I move forward in my career. When I'm not teaching or creating theatre you can find me making yummy food and desserts, being outdoors, watching reality tv shows, or spending time with my incredible husband, Ian! |
